You need to add the following dependency to your Maven, or Gradle configuration file:

+ Maven (pom.xml):

<dependency>
   <groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
   <artifactId>spring-boot-starter-web</artifactId>
</dependency>

+ Gradle (build.gradle):

compile("org.springframework.boot:spring-boot-starter-web")

Once this dependency has been added, you application will start. 

Look out for Tomcat started on port(s): 8080 (http)
